With over 500 models of home theater speakers available through a generous number of high and low-end brands, many consumers rely on salesperson to lead them in the right direction. Consumers with only a limited budget will undoubtedly flock to the cheapest option available to suit there needs. This however, nearly always results in a less than ideal sound system that fails to meet the expectations or needs of the owner. It is therefore a good idea to educate one's self on the best brands, speaker styles and specifications that will fit a home's needs before making a choice.
A home theater speaker system is typically made up of a front speaker, left and right speaker, a center-channel speaker, a pair of surrounds, and a subwoofer. A home owner may mix-and-match components but help from a professional is advised to make sure the speakers are all compatible. These speaker types come in varying sizes, sound output and design. The following are the types of styles in which these speakers may be found:
Floor-Standing speakers are the largest home theater speakers available. They can be shifted around the theater area or be moved to another home.
Bookshelf or Cabinet speakers stand independently, just like floor standing speakers, but are smaller and can be placed on or in entertainment centers or shelving to save space.
In-Wall speakers require no floor space, and can disappear if matching the walls. Their quality is usually very good, but they need professional installation and wiring.
On-Wall speakers are recommended for use with a flat-panel television. They provide exceptional sound as well as a pleasing aesthetic component.
Home theater owners or designers must determine the listening requirements and preferences for a specific room in order to create a quality home theater space. Room size and layout are important factors as this will dictate the speaker configuration. Logistics like electrical outlet placement, room size, and usable room space strongly affect the type of equipment that can and should be put in the room.
Home theater speakers are available in many sizes. However not all sizes are meant for all rooms. Large speakers are not advantageous for small rooms because they will need to be played at a much lower volume. This may cause distortion to the audio. Lower quality small speakers used in large spaces may produce a tinny or thin sound if they are unable to produce enough sound at a decent output level. Speakers of similar size may differ greatly in their sound output or reproduce different levels of sound unequally so it is very important to listen to various speaker brands and sizes and compare them before buying.
Speakers are available in a variety of encasement types - natural or laminated wood, metal, and occasionally plastic, but often preferences may be limited by brand or model. Speakers are as varied as tennis shoes so make sure you try on several and know how they fit into your home theater before making a purchase.

Massage,
the art of human touch, has been written on as far back as 1000 B.C. in
China when the treatment of paralysis and reduced circulation was documented.
The ancient Greeks used massage on athletes before and after sport. By
1917, massage therapy was introduced as a separate profession in the United
States when the Surgeon-General set up a rehabilitation process for soldiers
wounded in the First World War. Massage has since gained in popularity
and it should be of no wonder. Massage therapy is used to help treat painful
ailments, such as sub-acute and chronic back pain, decompress tired and
overworked muscles, reduce stress, rehabilitate sports injuries, and to
promote general good health. By manipulating a person's soft tissues through
massage, the body's circulation is improved and harmful waste products
from the muscles are removed. Some doctors recommend their patients seek
this alternative form of treatment when conventional methods are no longer
aiding their patient’s recovery.
There are more than 80 different types of massage—some of them include the Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, reflexology, acupressure, sports massage, and neuromuscular massage. A massage can be as long as two hours or as short as five or ten minutes. The type of massage given depends on the client’s needs and physical condition.
Recently, researchers at The University of Miami, School of Medicine have
discovered that women who receive prenatal massages get more sleep at
night, less headache and reduced swelling of the hands and feet. At The
Touch Research Institute of Miami School of Medicine a conducted study
on premature infants where one group received a massage from a professional
masseuse and the second group received the regular neonatal infant care.
They found the infants who were recipients of the massage while in the
NICU gained from 21 to 47 percent more weight than the infants in the
control group. The reason for this increased weight gain is linked to
the massage stimulating pressure receptors, primarily found in the hands,
feet, and lower back. When these receptors are stimulated it slows the
heart rate and blood pressure. When these are slowed it stimulates growth
hormones.
How many treatments does it take for a person to feel the benefits of massage therapy? This depends strictly upon the individual requesting the service, their description of symptoms, and their massage professional. Some massage therapists will begin with an interview asking their client to describe their current physical symptoms, and organize a four week plan, with a visit a week, touching each area of tension. Other therapists may ask where it hurts, recognize which muscle is causing the discomfort, and proceed with the treatment and he/she is out in thirty minutes.
Massage therapy is practiced by thoroughly trained individuals who provide specialized care with their client’s health in mind.

When most people think of a Harley-Davidson the first image that comes to their mind is a loud, grumbling, large motorcycle, traveling with 1500 of their drinking buddies dressed in black with large beards following along. The 2008 Harley-Davidson VRSCDX Night Rod is the Harley that shatters the image. Dressed in black, and the motorcycle Dracula would most likely ride, the VRSCDX Night Rod is one sweet ride. Made in the U.S., the Night Rod is being produced for riders who want a little more excitement from their ride. Not lacking the grumbling of the Harley-Davidson, it's actually a really wild sounding bike, and like it's riders, it will announce it's presence with authority.
Harley-Davidson jumped into the performance market in 2002 with the VROD and drools came from the motorcycle community. The VROD is a forward thinking, newly designed model born from a blank slate, with nothing borrowed from past years styles.
You have to give Harley-Davidson a lot of credit for not sticking with the same old styles that have worked well for them through the years. For this company to grow with the market, they needed to produce a model that went against the grain, and the VROD was a slam-dunk for them. Harley offered a model that was as sporty as they came and took away some of the market from the imports, and still left their American market happy that they could buy a domestic motorcycle with serious performance!
The 2008 Harley-Davidson VRSCDX, Night Rod, has a 1250CC motor that produces 125 horsepower at 62 RPM and 85 foot pounds of torque at 7000 RPM. The engine is liquid cooled and the brakes are 4-piston front and back. The VROD is already a legend in the Harley lineup and will be for years to come.
